Someone pinch me, I think I'm dreaming....

Another 3 hours on the phone...
I think the powers of the universe have gone to a lot of trouble to make sure that he and I come together. I feel (we both do) that I was born specifically to be with him. It's very scary people. Nothing has ever felt this right.
Does that sound outrageous? Does it sound like "Aw, it's just Amethyst's imagination again..."? Well, I am not the only one feeling it... And if you knew the man in question, you would not question this...
He was a little freaked out about the age difference... But to me, it's a non-issue. (How he could have been reading my blog all this time and not know how old I am is beyond me...lol)
Telling me about places that I want to see... And I can not think of anyone I would rather see them with... Or any means of travel that would be better than his particular favorite.
Things are all falling into place. Everything that has happened in my life was meant to lead me to this time, this place, this man.

Depending on the number of years separating the two of you it could be a valid consideration. While a few years make little difference a generational gap could cause difficulties. During a bygone centuries the age gap mattered not as much. Ideas, ideals, et al, change much more rapidly in today's society.

He and I have so much in common it is eerie... He is the person I have been looking for... Age means absolutely nothing...

Oh I am soooo happy for you. I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed and hoping for good outcome for you and he.

Calender age is less important the mental age. The good long talks on the phone indicate to me that age difference is not a problem.

On an earlier post, that I did not get to read until latter, what do you have against minivans? I own and drive one. To me its a full size station wagon. I can seat up to seven adults, and I have. It rides smooth like a car. I am a big guy, 6' 2" and 260 lb, so its hard to find a car that I fit into. Most cars are just so hard to get in and out of - - much like putting on a real tight set of clothes. I can also haul a few sheets of plywood for my projects. So all-in-all it meets my needs. And it gets better gas mileage than an SUV or truck. Of course any type of vehicle is not for anyone and is wrong for some.

It's an image thing, SunsetMan... They just bring to mind the army of women clad in khaki pants, white t-shirts, and denim jackets hauling kids to soccer practice, and themselves to committee meetings... I tried to force myself into that mold for so many years... Minivans for me are like getting a whiff of that on type of alcohol that you got so drunk on that it made you want to puke every time you smell it... They are fine for some, but they just represent a lifestyle that tried to consume the real me...

SunsetMan... I am also a free spirit who doesn't like mainstream anything... Not a practical bone in my body, I am afraid... I never do anything for practical reasons, I don't chose clothing or shoes for comfort, I don't eat things just because they are good for me... See where this is going? LOL...

Age is nothing but a number that they figured would help in tracking us!!! It'll only get in the way if ya'll let it.

I totally agree with you Denise... To me, it is a complete no-issue... I have never in my life met anyone that I had so much in common with, so much respect for - of ANY age!
